Would you attempt to climb a mountain peak without proper equipment or preparation? 

Of course not.   Food, shelter, climbing equipment, and emergency communicators are critical to the success, and often the survival of the climber.  

One of the most important tools a climber can take on their journey is a Sherpa, or mountain guide.   Sherpa's know the mountain, but more than that, these skilled leaders realize that with each climb the combination of variables (weather, climbing party, terrain, timeline, etc.) will present unique ascent challenges.  No two ascents are the same, no two parties will follow the same path. 

The skill of the Sherpa lies in understanding how to find the path to the top of the ever changing peak.
